A Dream Come True!

I’m very proud to announce I’ve taken the position of the Assistant Curator of Bonsai at The Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens. Working with bonsai full time has been a dream of mine since I started at the age of eight, and now that dream has come true!

I'm thrilled to join under the leadership of Ted Matson, the current curator of fourteen years, who has built the collection to be on if the best in the United States. Ted has been practicing and teaching bonsai since 1979, and I look forward to continuing to learn from him and many others. We have a wonderful team of volunteers who do an amazing job helping care for the trees.

Don’t worry! I’ll be still able for private bonsai work, and Deephouse Landscaping will still continue to provide outstanding landscape design and maintenance service to the Los Angeles area.
